Pioneering Solutions Studio is committed to supplying a system that is compliant with the Consumer Protections Act of South Africa. Users have the right to activate and deactivate correspondence receivable from a correspondence list, displayed in the user profile setup, at any time. The correspondence list allows for updates from the relevant industry to be supplied to users, with their permission.

Users can choose to receive updates on all topics depicted in the correspondence list or may turn off notifications, which will result in no correspondence being sent to users by the Pioneering Solutions Studio system.

You may update your correspondence list setup at any time by accessing your user profile after logging onto the system.


Pioneering Solutions Studio is committed to the confidentiality of our clients, which is why we do not require any personal information to register a profile.

All that is required from the healthcare professionals to register a profile is:

  • An active e-mail address;
  • Title, name and surname;
  • Region, profession and specialty and
  • Valid professional council number.

* Council numbers are required by the various industry council guidelines on CPD to ensure that all CPD certificates are accurate and valid.

** A valid ID number is required by the Department of Higher Education for the issuing of any certificate, upon the completion of an accredited training course.

The Pioneering Solutions Studio system has been developed to ensure the validity of access to information and does not allow for industry representatives to access user profiles or information and vice versa. User access is controlled by the sharing user and users may even limit access within their own profession and specialty.

Terms and Conditions

Pioneering Solutions Studio (Hereinafter referred to as PSS)

  1. Acceptance and usage

    These conditions become effective when you access the site for the first time and constitute a binding agreement between us (PSS) and yourself, which will always prevail. The current version of these conditions will govern our respective rights and obligations each time you access this site. PSS offers services such as consultation, knowledge share and various others.

    Your use of this website is subject to the terms and conditions as set out herein, including, but not limited to the documents that are referred to in some of the clauses.

    You should read the terms and conditions carefully before you access any website or participate in any chatroom, newsgroup, knowledge sharing, bulletin board, mailing list, transaction or other on-line forum of PSS.

    By using this website, you acknowledge that you have read these terms and conditions and agree to be bound by and comply with them.

    When you subscribe for the services offer by PSS, you will be issued with a user name and password. Your registration number with the different industry associations will be your key to using the site, or any of the services such as knowledge share, consultation, electronic data services or any other services. By using the user name and password to access the service and/or by using the service, you will be signifying your acceptance of these terms and conditions of use, which will form a binding agreement between you and PSS.

    PSS’ online products and services ("Online Services") are subject to certain procedures and approvals, which PSS may reject at their sole discretion. 

  2. Interpretation of this Agreement

    1. "the/this agreement" - means these terms and conditions of use, PSS’ privacy policy, PSS’ other terms and conditions which PSS may, from time to time, impose in respect of the service, as amended and updated from time to time;
    2. "effective date" - means the date on which PSS activates your subscription to the service;/li>
    3. "fees"- Any consultation services entered into by a member will be free of charge to the member. All services and data on the website is to be used free of charge. This clause is entered into without prejudice to PSS’ right to charge fees on discretion for any other service or agreement entered into.
    4. "service(s)" - means any service offered by PSS or its business partners, any service described in these terms and conditions, consultations services, knowledge sharing, and any other service that you may subscribe to or which may form part of PSS’ offering from time to time;
  3. Nature of information on the site

    All information on this site is only intended to provide you with general information about PSS, their clients, their members, their business partners, their products, services and objectives. Nothing on this site should be treated as an offer but merely as an invitation to do business with us. 

  4. Electronic communications

    When you visit the PSS website and during that visit complete a web form to request information or when you send an e-mail to PSS, and do not explicitly request a non-electronic communication medium, you consent to receiving communications from PSS electronically and agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures and other communications sent by PSS satisfy any legal requirements, including, but not limited to the requirement that such communications should be "in writing". 

  5. Enrolment in sponsored courses

    Where a user voluntarily enrolls in a scholarship/sponsored course, the following information will be provided to the sponsor of the course as evidence of the user having enrolled for the course:

    • The name and surname of the user accepting the scholarship and attending the course;
    • The date of enrolment in the program;
    • The date of completion of the program;
    • The professional registration number of the user;
    • The results that the user has obtained;
    • The country of professional registration and region of the user and
    • The email address of the user.

  6. Consultation services
    In the event that a consultation agreement is entered into, the member authorises PSS to act on his/her behalf and to act on behalf of the member's best interests. Any consultation serves will be entered into by the member by clicking on a "Consult Me" button. No other data usage or use of the website is deemed to be a consultation service and is free of charge as is any consultation. In the event that a member enters into a consultation contract, the member will be supplied with working papers as well as an opinion and conclusion expressed by PSS, which will serve as evidence of the service rendered.

    Once the service has been delivered and the member has given consent as to the opinion expressed by PSS, PSS will represent the member at the chosen company. PSS will not recover any expenses from the represented member but will be paid a fee from the applicable company. The nature of the fee will constitute a referral fee, as negotiated in the market. 

  7. Limited License to General Users:

    • The PSS Website and the content may not be reproduced, duplicated, copied, resold, visited or otherwise exploited for any commercial purpose without the express prior written consent of PSS.
    • The license does not allow the User to collect product or service listings, descriptions or other information displayed here.
    • PSS grants to the User, subject to the further terms of these Terms and Conditions, a non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited and revocable right to access, display, use, download and otherwise copy the current and future Content for personal, non-commercial and information purposes only.
    • The User may not frame nor use framing technologies to enclose the Website or the Content nor any part thereof without the consent of PSS.
    • PSS does not offer products or services to minors. If you are under the age of 18, you may not respond to or otherwise accept or act upon any offers in the Website.
    • PSS, their affiliates or subsidiaries reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, remove or edit Content, or cancel orders at their sole discretion.
    • Any unauthorised use terminates this agreement.

  8. Using search technology

    The use of search technology, such as "web-crawlers" or "web-spiders", to search and gain information from this website is not permitted if such technology will result in slowing down this website or infringe the intellectual property rights of PSS. 

  9. Knowledge share

    Knowledge share is an information sharing tool embedded in the website, where all industry professionals can share and search for information. The feature allows for a professional to express his/her opinion on matters and professionals that choose to comment thereon or use it, do so at their own risk. PSS, PSS employees, PSS shareholders or PSS members will not be held liable for any losses incurred due to the use of the knowledge share feature, as this does not constitute the opinion of PSS, but that of the individual posting the comment.

    The User is may only use this function for legitimate purposes and warrants that he/she shall not use the Website to transmit material or content which is in violation of any law or regulation, which is obscene, intimidating, racist, menacing, offensive, insulting, in breach of an duty of confidence, in breach of any intellectual property rights, or otherwise objectionable or unlawful.

    Furthermore, other than for individual and non-commercial use, the user may not print copies of extracts from the knowledge share function, and other than for personal and non- commercial use, "mirror" or cache any of the Content of Website on a server, or re-use the text or graphics obtained from the website, without the prior written permission of PSS.

    It should also be stated that the knowledge share will be strictly monitored for any distasteful topics, or content as set out above, or comments as set out above, and will be removed by the administrator without warning. Members can report any such occurrences on the website. 

  10. Information feeds

    We may use the services of other organisations to provide information on the site. We have no control over this information and make no representations or warranties of any nature as to its accuracy, appropriateness or correctness. You agree that such information is provided "as is" and we will not be directly or indirectly liable for any damages that may arise from your reliance on it. Please refer to the disclaimer as well. 

  11. Linked third party sites and third party information

    This site may contain links to other websites with information and material produced by other parties. While we try to provide links only to reputable websites, we cannot accept responsibility or liability for the information provided on other websites. A link from our site to any other website does not mean that we have scrutinized or endorsed the owners or administrators of the websites or their business or security practices and operations.

    All third party information regarding products advertised on the website was obtained from the owner/supplier of the product and PSS will not be held liable for any errors in data communicated by the legal owner. PSS will always strive to displaying accurate and correct data.

    PSS does not constitute the accuracy of the claims made by the owners of the product but merely serves as a communication portal. Any such errors are to be taken up with the owner of the product.

    The user needs to maintain hardware and software of sufficient performance ability on the Website. Your failure to use advanced browsers may cause some or all functionality of the site not to operate properly.

This information is required for identification and appears on all Education documentation and correspondence.
This information will only be used in association with submissions to the various industry councils of South Africa, the South African Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET), Education Content Providers and Donors/Funders as addressed below.

Your information will never be used for any other purpose than providing you with information pertaining to:

  1. Education relating to your industry and
  2. Information relevant for you to practice as an industry professional.

You have the right to disable any communication from PSS by accessing your PSS user account. Your PSS user account is available 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week and can be accessed by logging in.
Your profession and speciality (where applicable) A person needs to be a registered industry professional to access the PSS Online Education System as the content contained within is not suitable to be accessed by the public. The PSS Online Education System contains educational material that is intended only for registered industry professionals. We further need to ensure that any education completed with PSS is credited to your professional council number for you to claim CPD/CME credits with your professional council.

The country that you practice in Certain education content is only approved for specific countries. We thus need to know in which country you practice so that we only present education that is relevant to you.

Education Manager & Your Education History

Please note that this information is only required and obtained from you, should you wish to make use of the Education Manager. Please note that your Individual Activity Record (IAR) will only be submitted to and shared with the industry council relating to your profession, should you wish to do so. Submission of information to said council is only processed upon your digital instruction. You are not required to setup your Education Manager and provide PSS with this information, should you not wish to do so.

Your education history and CPD certificates Industry councils of South Africa require that an industry professional submit evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) compliance upon selection in a compliance audit by the submission of an Individual Activity Record (IAR). When an IAR is generated electronically by you, as a user, your education history and CPD certificates are imported into the IAR electronically for submission to the relevant council. The industry council related to your profession.
Your CPD compliance information For us to provide an Education Manager we require the following information for the forecasting of compliance steps:

  1. 1. Your last audit date and
  2. 2. The year that you completed studies/internship/community service (where applicable).

These dates form the basis of the council audit cycles and we cannot offer an Education Manager without this information.
This information is only used to forecast your next council audit date and is not shared with any third parties.
Your South African ID Number Professional councils in South Africa require your South African ID Number to be completed on the Individual Activity Record (IAR) when you are selected for a CPD Compliance Audit. We can thus not offer the service of electronic submission of IARs to the various industry councils if we do not have the prerequisite information. The industry council related to your profession.


Please note that this information is only required and obtained from you, should you wish to enrol for a Scholarship. The required information is however mandatory, should you wish to enrol for a scholarship. You will be able to pay for course attendance, should you not wish to take up a Scholarship and share your information.

The South African Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) requires the information of individuals enrolled in registered training courses in accordance with the Act and Regulation 16(4)(a).

The Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Amendment Act, 2013 (Act No. 46 of 2013) requires companies to report on empowerment and educational spend towards the education of historically disadvantaged individuals.

The Donor/Funder providing the Scholarship for enrolment in the education course may contact you as a quality control measure to confirm that a bona fide Scholarship was in fact awarded to you and that you enjoyed uninterrupted access to the subject matter and learning material. They may also wish to enquire whether you found the subject matter and quality beneficial.
